Wright County Health Department is located in the county seat of Hartville and has been serving the citizens of Wright County since 1948. The Health Department has two full time offices located in Hartville and Mountain Grove Missouri. The Health Department operates multiple health related programs totaling over $600,000 in state contracts, grant, county tax money and donations. The Health Department has built an active and thriving working relationship with area schools, businesses, other state agencies and surrounding Health Departments. This expansion in capacity has increased the programs offered and services received by our clients over the past several years. Wright County is a predominately rural county and is comprised of seven towns with a combined population of approximately 18,629 residents.
Wright County Health Department provides WIC (Women, Infants and Children Nutrition program), case management for children with special health care needs in a nine county region, health related consultation education and sanitation inspections to area childcare facilities, Maternal and Child Health services, car seats, family planning and wellness exams for women, health education, sanitation inspections and education to food establishments, environmental services, emergency response services, lead testing, immunizations, case management and education for pregnant women as well as many other public health services.
